The O2 Lift ~ A Breath of Fresh Skin

I’d grown tired of facials. Tired of the hoopla. Tired of cost. I began to wonder if they all weren’t just a bunch of fluff. So about a year ago I quit getting facials. I decided to spend my money on treatments that actually did something. No more fluff. I wanted results. Exfoliate me! Illuminate me! Make me look fresh and dewey!

When I heard about the O2 Lift treatment from Image Skincare, I was intrigued. It is considered a facial, but the science behind it promised that it would be anything but the traditional, ho-hum experience. This revolutionary treatment vows to leave you exfoliated, illuminated, and oxygenated – everything I want in treatment. So I called my beautiful, talented friends at Skin NV and scheduled an appointment.

When I learned that the O2 Lift uses all-natural, paraben-free ingredients to achieve results, I was even more excited. Who knew that fruit, oxygen, and plant stem cells could do so much good? This Image Skincare company just might be on to something with it’s O2 Lift, and I couldn’t wait to get started.

Step 1: Cleanse

Jessica, an esthetician and medical assistant at Skin NV, started by cleansing my skin. The O2 Lift cleanser dispensed as a gel and within a few minutes turned into a creamy milk texture. It was mild and non-irritating and had a clean, plant-like smell.

Step 2: Lift

Now we were ready for the “lift” portion of the treatment with a papaya and pineapple enzyme peel. The purpose of this step is to gently exfoliate the skin. The relaxing two to three minute massage was enjoyable, but seeing the dead skin slough off was truly the highlight.

Step 3: Oxygenate

Next we oxygenated. The was the best part of the entire treatment! A masque was applied to my face and allowed to settle in – no massaging.

It was refreshing and fun. There was a party happening on my face, but the product was doing something important – oxygenating my skin at a cellular level.

{Notice how the foam is bubbling and then disappearing as it works.}

It turns out that oxygen is essential to healthy skin. We use oxygen at a cellular level to rejuvenate, repair, and regrow skin cells. When we’re younger this process works like a charm. As we age, it slows down. Add to the mix environmental factors like poor food choices, pollutants, and sun damage. All this adds up to a clogged, slow-running system that can’t turn over cells as quickly as it used to. Applying oxygen directly to the face gives your cells that extra boost it needs to fight the aging process.

Step 4: Rejuvenate

A pure plant stem cell enhancer was applied next to rejuvenate and prevent signs of aging. (And who doesn’t want that?) While the enhancer worked it’s magic, Jessica used a machine to apply pure oxygen to my face as an added benefit.

Step 5: Protect

At the end of the treatment, Jessica applied sunscreen to my face.

Never, ever leave a treatment without sunscreen. If they don’t offer it to you, ask for it. We accumulate a significant amount of sun damage just in the ten minutes here and there we spend in the car. Those few minutes add up over the years to a lot of sun damage. Get in the habit of wearing sunscreen on your face every day. It is one of the best things you can do for your skin.

After my treatment, I left Skin NV with glowing skin and a renewed faith in facials. Well, not all facials, just the O2 Lift. Try it. You’ll see what I mean. You’ll look great and do something great for your skin. There’s no fluff in that.
